High Kicks, Higher Truths
About
Sixteen-year-old Sha’lil can out-twirl, out-pop, and out-smile anybody—just not in public. At East Cypress High, dancing Majorette is “for the girls” and the drill team is sacred turf… except Sha’lil can’t stop choreographing routines on his bus pass and pirouetting past the cereal aisle. When one white lie at school snowballs into a full-on double life, he’s forced to choose between hiding behind a mascot head at the pep rally or stepping into the spotlight like he was born to do. A comedy about rhythm, friendship, and the freedom of telling the truth—with eight-counts, glitter, and one very shiny trophy.
